Policies
KEYS
- I do not charge anything for our initial meet and greet or dropping off any keys after your first trip.
- For future visits your options are:
- I can hold on to your keys in a secure location
- or I can swing by to quickly pick them up from you and/ or drop them off each time you are away for an additional fee
- or you can drop your keys off to me and/ or pick them up from me to save the fee
- For future visits your options are:
CODES
- For lock codes or garage door codes; it is advisable to still provide a key, however, if you choose not to, please note that if the batteries die or the power goes out, I may not be able to gain access to your home.
LAST MINUTE VISITS
- Requests for pet sitting with less than 48 hours notice, may be subject to an additional fee.
PAYMENT
- I accept cash, cheques and e-transfers.
- Payment is due after my last visit.
- If your trip duration exceeds 2 weeks, you must pay half the expected total before the first visit for that trip and the remaining after my last visit.
- The expected total may change if additional visits are required, you end up coming home early, or your pet(s) end up requiring additional services, ie. you did not allow enough time per visit to get the required care completed or you run out of something and need me to pick it up, etc.
- If your trip duration exceeds 2 weeks, you must pay half the expected total before the first visit for that trip and the remaining after my last visit.
🐾 Please note: When time permits and I feel it would be beneficial, I do sometimes stay a little longer than scheduled with a new little friend on the very first visit while we get to know each other better and I carefully review their care instructions. There is no extra charge for this additional time for their humans. 🐾
RETURNING HOME EARLY
- If you give less than 24 hours notice of returning home early, you are responsible for paying the next 24 hours of scheduled visits.
MEDICATIONS
- I am trained to administer a variety of medications, including insulin injections.
- While I will always do my very best to medicate every pet, I cannot guarantee your pet’s behaviour or cooperation. For the safety and well-being of both your pet and myself, I reserve the right to discontinue or decline medication administration if I believe there is a risk of injury or excessive stress. Should this occur, I will contact you promptly so we can discuss the situation and determine the best solution together.
